Vlad Kravtsov
Hi, I'm Vlad Kravtsov. Welcome to my profile!
I hold a PhD from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University. I have previously taught at Brown University, Northern Illinois University, and the Russian State University for the Humanities. In April 2010 I was awarded a Certificate in University Teaching in recognition of excellence in preparation for an academic career. My previous publications on the HIV/AIDS politics in South Africa appeared in Global Society and in the collection of essays Political Identities and Identity Politics Reconsidered. My primary training was in various areas of comparative politics, international relations, and health affairs. My original research examined how, why and with what consequences Russia and South Africa politicized the external best case practices, guidelines, and recommendations in regard to the HIV/AIDS treatment. While my primary expertise was politics in Russia and Eastern Europe and health policy with strong focus on HIV/AIDS, I am interested in expanding my knowledge.
